Do you have an idea for a class or workshop? We are always looking for people with knowledge to offer. The Skill Share Studio is an excellent place to try your hand at teaching, whether you’re doing it for the first time or have years of experience. Our classes are learning laboratories, where through shared inquiry we discover new approaches and inspire one another.
Teaching Natural Building
The Skill Share Studio offers the use of our tools for workshops. We have two pottery wheels (one electric and one kickwheel), several sewing machines, various silkscreening and batik tools, as well as a wide assortment of other tools and materials. Facilities include an outdoor, cold water sink with greywater system and a composting toilet. For more information on Joseph Jenkin’s Humanure composting method click here.
Many class facilitators volunteer their time and proceeds to the studio, but we are happy to split income evenly between the studio and instructors. Additionally, the studio may be rented by the hour – $12 per hour with a 2 hour minimum.
